Hey,
I took my macro lens out for a spin today. Although not a Nikon lens, the Tamron 90mm Macro lens does have a good reputation for quality. At first, I was worried about how it would work combined with the 45 MP D850, but I think the results speak for themselves. I would have no hesitation using this for my typical engagement ring photo at a wedding.
The funny thing is I had another shot pre visualised for publishing today and I even successfully captured that photo. This photo was a quick snap as I was heading back to the car. But seeing it ridiculously large on my ridiculously large 32″ 4k monitor, pushed it immediately to the front of the queue. This is a full-sized image with no cropping during post-processing.
I love the detail in the rope and how the background serves to support the rope. I’m really glad I decided to take the macro on today’s visit to the park.
That’s it for now. Talk to you soon.
Richard
