Hello!
Whilst my plan is not to overwhelm the blog with photographs of my daughter, these shirts arrived today … it was obviously time for another “Selfie Saturday”.
My wife has been publishing tips for her personal branding clients on how to take better selfies whilst on lockdown. You know, finding the best light in the house etc. I think I took it a little far, setting up backdrops, running two lights (and then adding a ring light after) as well as using my big DSLR camera and 105mm portrait lens.
But, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to get the shot.
The AFL Grand Final is on as I’m typing this text. Even though I’m a proud Aussie, I kind of let the side down when it comes to the footy. As a young child, back in the day when footballers had real jobs, my PE teacher was Geoff Ablett, well known Hawthorn player and “Fastest Player” three years in a row. I used to wash his car every Saturday morning for $5.
Over the last 7 years, I’ve been more focused on Roller Derby, mainly due to the fact it is an incredible sport and that my wife is a ten year veteran of the game! Here’s hoping she can play again soon because she has taken to hip-checking me whenever she gets the chance due to a lack of being able to train.
But like most others, I will join my family on the couch and make the appropriate noises at the appropriate times in my quest to be a little more accepted amongst my peers.
I must admit, it ended up being an exciting game to watch. Coming from behind and kicking twelve straight goals … impressive Melbourne, impressive.
Oh, and for the record, I’m a Hawthorn “supporter”.
That’s it for now. Talk to you soon. Stay safe.
Richard
