Hello hello!
It’s been a tense time here at the Average Suburban House.
Niles (named for the character on Fraiser), injured himself jumping off our bed and after a few days of restriction and observation, the difficult choice was made to admit him for surgery on Monday.
He’s back at home with us now and by all accounts seems to have begun the healing process. He’s whacked out on some good doggy drugs at the minute so instead of lying around and doing very little, he’s … um … lying around and doing very little.
Having him home has made a marked difference to M and R, which is a great thing.
I guess we now help with the healing process as best as we can and try to stop him from jumping up or down onto or from things. That should be fun.
Had one of the best wedding pitch meetings tonight where I answered around three or four questions, sent the requested invoice and heard the payment “ding” before I’d finished writing some notes and left the room. I do enjoy it when I know a member of the bridal party, it makes the job of selling myself a lot easier. I’m looking forward to their laidback wedding in January. We’ve even roped M in to do the makeup for the bride.
Just a short post today. The meeting and some coding I’ve been doing have taken the night away from me and it’s way past my bedtime.
I’ll see you for the next post.
