Hello!
Entry number 13 in the 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from a recently handed over wedding.
This project is difficult. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. During the holiday break, I had the opportunity to go out and find things to photograph as often as I needed to. Now that I’m back in the office (literally as I write this, I have keys and get in early), the opportunities to go and source new photos are few and far between. I really do not want to give up on myself as I’m only 13 days so I’m going to have to make some things happen soon as the self-imposed pressure to complete a post every day is starting to cause a little discomfort.
I’m not writing this for pats on the head or for sympathy. I’m writing this as I endeavour to be as honest as possible about what is happening in the life of this Average Suburban Dad. I hope to look back on this website in the years to come to remind me of where I was and hopefully, how far I’ve moved on since.
As soon as I can, I want to have photos and posts for the project completed in advance as there are some days that it is more difficult to post due to rehearsals or just life in general. I really do not like it when, like last night, I was at a rehearsal and it suddenly crosses my mind that I have yet to publish my black and white photo for the day. It brings the night down and I feel the tension rise in my shoulders. That’s not a fun thing when you are trying to remember how to play a Bm7b5/E chord.
I’m also going to try to get back into long-form writing as many of you have commented on how you like my writing style. And writing is a lot cheaper than therapy! I need to recreate my brain dump file so I can write when the moment strikes and have content for the blog.
Anyway, the time has come for me to start thinking about work.
Have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
