Hello!

Another photo from my visit to the Australian Open. This photo made the cut because (and you have to see it large) the brand on the ball is front and nearly centre! I love the height she gets and the details in the musculature. The athlete and ball are nice and sharp and the D850 provided its usual amazing quality of photographs. Although not as fancy as the main courts, I love the outdoor courts as they get you right up close to the action.

Today I’m photographing a small wedding with a twist. As it’s not a huge affair, we are doing a portrait/engagement shoot in the morning and the wedding in the afternoon. We’ll be hitting the couples favourite café for a drink and photos before kicking the “preparations” off at lunchtime. I’m looking forward to the relaxed atmosphere of the day. The groom has been an excellent communicator which makes the lead up to the wedding a lot more relaxed.

The lovely Mrs ASD will be providing makeup services for the bride (twice in one day) and then has been invited to the wedding and reception, along with the little lady.

All going to plan, tomorrow’s photograph will be one from the wedding! Today’s post was pre-written to allow me to concentrate on the task at hand. In fact, I’m trying to get into the habit of being a few days ahead allowing me to “miss” a day if required without messing up the 365 Day Challenge.

Have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.

Richard
