Hello!
Entry number 129 for the 365 Black & White Challenge is a photo from a “Dances with Light” shoot I did.

Saturday
Oh, hi there!
I miss you guys.
The theme for this weekend is photography.
Friday night: Dancer with Light shoot (see main photos) where I shoot in a pitch-black dance studio where the only light is the one(s) held by the dancer. Besides finding a shot for the blog, I haven’t looked at the photos yet as I finished late and was wrecked after a busy week at work and the shoot. But the shoot was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to work with more dancers in this way (as well as other shoots I have in mind).
Saturday morning: I was supposed to be doing two headshots but fortunately, they had to postpone. After my bout with COVID, my recovery time following a shoot is definitely longer than usual so I was not upset about not having to set up the garage. Especially as my wife and daughter were still both ill.
My wife being ill meant I was swapped in to photograph an event for her business today. I knew this would happen (one of us getting ill and the other stepping in) at some point and I was very happy to be able to help. The event was long but went very well. The drive home was spent concentrating on the road whilst trying to get in some “rest”.
Let me interrupt the flow to bring you a message from our sponsor, Me! Did you love the photo? Each photograph in the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is made available as a single signed limited edition print. If you are interested, you can purchase the print at the Shop for only $36.50 (including free postage to anywhere in the world). If it’s not there then someone beat you to it! I thank you for your support of my photography and this website.
The reason for the required rest is that as soon as I finish and publish this post I’m off to shoot another event that I already had on the calender. Two three hour events in one day! It will be very interesting to see how I pull up, especially as I have roller derby headshots scheduled between 1 pm and 7 pm tomorrow!
I’m really looking forward to going back to work on Monday for a rest.
Not the in-depth reportage I would like to be presenting but I hope to write more in the future, especially about the “Dances with Light” shoot. Seriously, so much fun and included valuable lesson about proper warming up and stretching … by the Teacher! But more on that soon.
If you’ve made it this far, as always, thank you for your time and your attention! I will see you for the next post.
