Hello!
Entry number 26 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from the 2022 Australian Open.
Back to the Open (whilst it’s still going) for today’s photograph.
Not only did I enjoy watching the tennis on display, which was the primary aim of going, but I enjoyed planning photographs before taking them. This is not something I normally do. My specialty has always been to grab moments as they happen in front of me at the speed of one thousand startled gazelles, however, in this case, I knew the photograph I wanted to get, positioned myself accordingly and waited.
It’s moments like this that highlight that although the creative part of photography is incredibly important, you should never ignore the technical side. Knowing the settings I needed and having them preset to force the background into burry goodness meant I only had to wait, grab focus quickly, and shoot.
Have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
