Hello!
Entry number 28 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from the 2022 Australian Open.
Another example of a pre visualised photo. Had to move seats several times (I was at a public court meaning this wasn’t a hassle) to line it up just right.
I didn’t realise this until the following Saturday, but shooting in this very unforgiving light at the Open was great practice for the wedding on Saturday. Constantly adjusting the exposure to contain the highlights whilst trying to anticipate how much shadow detail loss would be acceptable get’s a little draining. Especially in 35+ degree heat.
I am very happy with the result of this photograph though. The feet off the ground and how the Melbourne sign is positioned nicely in the frame. I certainly was playing with the shadows provided by the sun on this day.
