Hello!
Entry number 41 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from a wedding I photographed in January.
The Photograph:
In February, I am selecting the oldest photo from my “Candidates” folder and if I still love it, posting that. If the love has gone, it gets deleted.
I’m one of those crazy people who honest to God truly LOVES photographing weddings. I love the pace, I love the pressure and I love the people.
Five seconds before this photograph was taken, these four were nicely lined up and having a nice photo taken. Then I remembered that the couple on the outside of the group are the bride and groom’s dance teachers.
“Jazz hands” I yelled!

The Blog:
Sorry for yesterdays lack of writing. I write the following day’s blog post first thing each morning and I’m calling yesterdays lack of inspiration an eerie premonition for what the rest of the day would be.
You see, yesterday, my works website outgrew its hosting, in a spectacular way. I’m not going to bore you with all the nerdy IT talk but let’s just say the website was demanding (and using) four times the allocated resources available to it and the host wasn’t pleased.
So to cut a long and dull story short, we performed an upgrade-ectomy and everything is now happy and cheery again. And to make sure, the website is on a server well beyond its needs.
Oh, the joys of technology.
But the evening was much better as I took my daughter out for a Daddy-daughter ice cream date and we actually had a really good chance to talk, bond and eat ice cream. My wife is the super parent in the relationship whilst I hold on for dear life. This evening, however, was a great night. We talked about school, her dancing and how she was feeling with all the big changes happening.
My daughter’s summation of the evening?
“Best Daddy-Daughter date ever … because it had ice cream!”
I’ll take that as a win.
Have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
Richard
