Entry number 42 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from Australia Day.
In February, I am selecting the oldest photo from my “Candidates” folder and if I still love it, posting that. If the love has gone, it gets deleted.
Another photo from my brother’s recent gig. Once again focusing in on a portion of the performance. I really enjoy seeing the grain of the wood on this beautiful instrument as well as the sun shining off from machine heads (the knobs).
I’ve had to add another 3 steps to my daily blog post creation as I make small changes around the website. Although not at Peter McKinnon levels of subscriptions, I do have a regular number I’m hitting every day which was larger than last month so look at me go!
I’ve spent a small portion of the day recording my serial numbers for all of my photography gear, something I should have done years ago. After completing this task (including the mandatory trip to Google to search for the location of the serial number on the Nikon 16-35 f4 lens), I decided to include (both out of interest and for insurance purposes) how much it would cost to replace each item. Kind of wish I hadn’t now as the number far eclipsed my estimate and made me realise that insurance really would be a good idea. And I haven’t even added the cost of the new camera yet (as it hasn’t arrived).
With this in mind, I’ve been asking around and have started the fun of getting quotes for both public liability and mobile contents. I really need to book more shoots, if not just to pay for the insurance!
Having said that, I’ve picked up a few event shoots in the near future, including a family I shoot two birthday parties for every year.
That’s enough rambling for now, I have to add “Insurance” to the brain book.
As always, join the Facebook Group if you haven’t yet, comment below, have a great day and I look forward to typing at you in the next post.
