Hello!

Entry number 45 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from a park in Frankston.

My Valentine
2022 365 Black & White Challenge – 45/365

The Photograph:

In February, I am selecting the oldest photo from my “Candidates” folder and if I still love it, posting that. If the love has gone, it gets deleted.

Through no preplanning or manipulation of the order of photos, here’s a photograph of my valentine. I love that she faces the world every day with no makeup and her natural beauty. I love the ferocity with which she loves our daughter. I love that she lets me live in the house.

PS: Did you love the photo? Each photograph in the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is made available as a single limited edition print. If you are interested, click here to purchase this print for only $36.50. I thank you for your support of my photography and this website.

The BLOG:

Happy Valentine’s Day to all my readers! I hope the day brings you everything you wish.

Although we do not celebrate the day in our household, I do spare a thought for the florists on what is one of their two busiest days of the year. The other, of course, is Mother’s Day.

At the time of writing it’s 07:12 on Saturday morning. The house is quiet and I’ve just sold my old Apple Watch on Facebook Marketplace to a person in the NT. I can not express the frustrations that dealing with people on Facebook Marketplace causes. But I’ll give it a good go.

My listings always have the pickup address and photos covering the entire item, especially if there are a few wear and tear marks. Questions I have received about the watch include:

“Are there any marks or damage” – Yes, please see the listing and the photos.
“Where are you located?” – Carrum Downs, please see the listing and the map provided by Facebook on the listing.
“Will you take X?” – No, the price is firm and a bloody good deal at that.
“Does it work?” – Yes, please see the listing and the photos that clearly demonstrate this.
“Has it been reset?” – Yes, please see the listing and the photos that clearly demonstrate this.

And, not to mention, but I will, the 22 people who asked if the item was available and then when told it was, said nothing else.

The gentleman I sold it to, messaged me at 5:45 (I was up, writing blog posts), asked intelligent questions and immediately transferred the money. He did ask for a discount but followed it with an emoji.

OK. I think I have marketplace out of my system for now.

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Oh, I really need to get out and take more photos. My Candidates folder is down to 3 photographs!

As always, join the Facebook Group if you haven’t yet, comment below, have a great day and I look forward to typing at you in the next post.
