Hello!
Entry number 59 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from a local park.

The PHOTOGRAPH:
In February, I am selecting the oldest black and white photo from my “Candidates” folder and if I still love it, posting that. If the love has gone, it gets deleted.
This image is from a series of photographs taken during a play date for my daughter and one of her school friends. The 105mm portrait lens came out specifically to challenge me as I was not planning on taking any portraits with it. I was looking for mundane things and trying to take a non-mundane photograph of them.
One of my daughter’s friends leads along a nature reserve path. It’s as simple as that. Nothing ahead of her but land and fauna to observe. I love the feet positioning, and I love the path blurring off into the distance.
PS: Did you love the photo? Each photograph in the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is made available as a single limited edition print. If you are interested, click here to purchase this print for only $36.50. I thank you for your support of my photography and this website.
The BLOG:
It’s eight minutes past seven o’clock in the morning and I’m nervous.
As mentioned many times before I write these posts at least one day in advance. So when I said yesterday that I had a shoot “today” (on the day of publication), that was correct.
Just to confuse matters, that shoot “today” is actually TODAY, the day I’m writing this post which will come out “tomorrow”, but you’ll be reading it “today”.
Did you get all that?
Anyway, it’s now quarter past seven and I’m nervous.
Why? I’ve done literally hundreds of shoots and I know the people I’m working with and what’s more, I really like the people I’m working with. And that’s why I’m nervous.
I have no doubt that I have the ability to capture what they want and need out of their photographs (and video). It’s just that I want to knock it out of the park for them. We’ve been planning this shoot since late last year and after two postponements, it’s finally happening today.
There’s nothing happening today I haven’t done before. There’s nothing causing me to worry. There’s nothing I know I can’t rock.
It’s seven twenty o’clock in the morning and I’m nervous.
And I’m glad I’m nervous … because it means I still care about doing a great job for my clients.
As always, join the Facebook Group if you haven’t yet, comment below, have a great day and I look forward to typing at you in the next post.
