Entry number 80 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photograph from a recent visit with the family to the Moonlit Sanctuary in Pearcedale.
I have a love-hate relationship with this guy. He’s a great model, but he just won’t follow directions.
So it seems you all prefer it when I actually write something as opposed to just showing a photo if my stats are to be believed.
I photographed a 4th birthday party yesterday. Hardly noteworthy except for the fact that this is the third year in a row this family has booked me for the event. That kind of loyalty is something that makes these parties more enjoyable as the same people are there each year and we get to catch up as I shoot.
This year (and last year) there were two parties. The first year there was only one and the second child worn born two weeks after! I’m trying to get the hostess to confirm next year’s dates when I see them again in two weeks’ time, so I can lock them in.
Speaking of hostess, she should go into business. The parties she throws even for her young children are insanely detailed. Saturday’s party was a Barbie theme and there was even a real-life barbie there! The kids started calling me Ken even though I’m old enough to be Barbie’s Dad!
I finished the edits and delivered the photographs today as my events come with a short delivery window as part of my pricing.
You can see by the grid of delivered photos just how much pink was on show. She needs to go into business arranging and staging parties for under 5’s.
I’m actually looking forward to going back in two weeks for the second child who is seriously the coolest little dude on the planet and so much fun to shoot.
PS: Did you love the photo? Each photograph in the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is made available as a single signed limited edition print. If you are interested, click here to purchase this print for only $36.50. I thank you for your support of my photography and this website.
