Entry number 119 for the 2022 365 Black & White Challenge is a photo from my trip to Melbourne to see Hamilton.

Today’s post is bought to you by the word “Overwhelm”.

My new role is a multifaceted one that touches most corners of the business. With this in mind, I am being shown a LOT of new things that I need to be across as soon as possible. Talk about brain-melting amounts of data being imbibed.

I’m also working on a PC which means I feel the overwhelming need to sanitise my hands every ten minutes.

Someone at work asked me “Now that you’ve seen Hamilton four times, are you good? All done?”. Oh, dear.

I didn’t tell him I was seeing it in 17 days (16 days when this is posted) and then 3 days after that … And then 135 days after that (with the inevitable realisation that I will be seeing it more). Most people just don’t understand.

I think I am at the stage where I won’t be too upset if an understudy is playing a role having seen the original cast three times now. I’d like to see someone else doing Burr or Lafayette/Jefferson. I enjoy Jason Arrow as Hamilton too much to want to see another person doing it again.

Thanks, as always for your time and attention, I really appreciate it.
