The family went to the McClelland Gallery today. The land on which the Gallery sits is deceptively large and scattered around the property are some amazing artwork and sculptures. Important to note is the café makes a decent hot chocolate on a cold day too. I took my 16-35mm lens to see how I would fare as I primarily use this lens for video. I’m very happy with what I captured and look forward to publishing some of them here over the coming weeks. I think my favourite from the day is the image displayed here. Back when I was first getting into photography I was always looking up to see if there was anything interesting to photograph.

I’m really looking forward to using this website to reinvigorate my passion for photography … To be more precise, giving myself permission to return to the passion I felt like an amateur photographer when the only person I had to please was myself. I am enjoying the process of looking just looking for possible photographs. Most of my photography has been for clients recently. Yesterday, for the first time in forever, and today, I photographed for myself. And I loved it.

I’m loving all the photographs already coming out of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Joe McNally never disappoints and has some incredible images published and it’s only day 2! Also loved seeing the new sports skateboarding and surfing included. Let’s bring in Roller Derby next!

I discovered the Miniature Calendar website today via the Digital Synopsis website. Some very clever ideas and photography.

Thanks for visiting and we’ll chat tomorrow.
