Ten years ago today, I photographed my first roller derby bout.

Ten years ago today, I photographed South Sea Roller Derby for the first time.

Ten years ago today, I photographed my future wife for the first time (not the person in the photo).

It's been a crazy ten years and it shows no signs of stopping. I've planned for next year to prioritise roller derby photography over other genres and will no doubt beat the 63 bouts I photographed this year.

My total bouts photographed count is sitting at 272.

I spent a delightful day today starting the development of a web portal for work. Work which has changed since I last spoke about it. I look forward to many days hunched over my keyboard at work, forgetting to add semicolons at the end of lines and misspelling variables, thus causing the portal to crash spectacularly.

Not so much fun was driving around the area trying to replace a Cadbury chocolate advent calendar that the dog decided he would eat today. Luckily, the dog hasn't been sick from eating the chocolate.

However, after three Woolworths and a Kmart, a replacement couldn't be found, so it was decided that a Smiggle advent calendar would be obtained instead. R seems very happy with that decision and excitedly noted that "the dog can't eat this!". And I’ll have the backup one we bought. This will keep well out of the dog's reach.

I'm not putting money on that.

Anyway, I'm off to bed.
